The Newton Ferrers C of E Primary School . Governors Report to Parents 2008/09




Welcome to Newton Ferrers Church of England Primary School. Newton Ferrers and Noss Mayo have had a school serving the children in our villages since 1874. We were privileged to move into our new school building on February 14th 2003. The school has exceptional facilities; four classrooms (including a secure outdoor area for our younger children), an ICT Suite, library, resource area, offices, kiln room and large hall. There are extensive school grounds proving a wonderful outdoor learning environment; pond, amphitheatre, school garden, maths and sensory gardens, playing field and playground. Our Church school is proud to play a key role in community life and has excellent links with people, organisations (including St. Francis Pre-school), businesses and churches in both villages. We have an open door policy and parents are actively encouraged to work in partnership with the school for the benefit of every child.
